Human Crisis and the Need for Education. Training Young People to Volunteer between Intentionality and Project

Abstract

Starting from a reflection on the crisis of the human and the need for social education in our time (in which we are witnessing a worrying torpor of the communitarian self), this contribution intends to problematize the outdatedness of a pedagogical reason based on agency. Today, this category, if appropriately recovered in the experience of volunteering, can prove to be valuable for the education of young people, guided by open and mature intentionality that looks to sol-idarity and reciprocity as a space for further development and human perfectibility.
