Abstract

General and social pedagogy is at a particular stage in its development. Indeed, general and social pedagogy appears to be in crisis with respect to external recognition by institutions, society, politics and media, from the most traditional to the most recent social networks. An important question must be posed in the service of future generations of peda-gogists, concerning how we can ‘translate without betraying’ the specificity and depth of general and social pedagogy, in order to be understandable and be considered beyond our scientific-disciplinary borders in the different social and institutional contexts.
