Young generations between ideas, words and images of future families

Abstract

In the certainty of the widespread uncertainties that have been accompanying our society in recent years, also amplified by the pandemic, the intention to form a family seems, in every way, to be part of life plans for most young people. In this framework, the paper revises the reflections carried out by university students, who have been asked to try to define their concept of family and then proceed with an exercise of imagination of what they themselves will intend to constitute, also in the light of the past pandemic situation. Therefore, starting from the words of young people, intercepting and decoding their meanings and directions of meaning, can become a precious opportunity for pedagogical reflection, aimed at the start-up of design paths in which to generate spaces for mediation between people, families and society.
