Abstract

In history and culture, tattooing has taken on various meanings, linked to the culture and history of peoples, connected with social and sometimes medical and therapeutic values. In 18 years of clinical activity addiction’s people this particular form of self‐expression through one’s skin seems to be connected to the Script. Through the experience of a writing workshop organized with some patients in the Residential Treatment, I developed some ideas about the deep connection and the impor‐tance that tattoos sometimes have for people who decide to tell some meaningful content of their existence through those permanent images. The tattoo can therefore represent a narration through images of the script protocol, an expression of a creative drive of the ability to project oneself into the future.
