Call for papers - DILET n. 2 (December 2026)

2026-02-14

The call for papers for the second issue of the journal Dilet is now online. The issue is scheduled for publication in December 2026. Exceptionally, this is an open call for articles, on various topics, which will undergo peer review.

PRESENTATION

Dilet is a biannual peer-reviewed scholarly journal established with the aim of contributing to the consolidation, within the Italian-speaking academic community, of Literature Education as an interdisciplinary, multilingual, and transnational field of research.

Situated at the intersection of literary studies and educational research and characterised by broad intellectual openness, Literature Education has progressively gained recognition in academia through sustained reflection on professional practices and critical debate on the role and disciplinary specificity of literary teaching and literary education across different national cultures.

In line with developments in other countries – where university courses in Literature Education are accompanied by specialised research centres, scholarly journals, and regular conferences – Dilet seeks to serve as a platform for dialogue and dissemination of Italian and international research. The journal promotes a public space for scholarly exchange among researchers from diverse disciplinary backgrounds who share a rigorous and reflective approach to the challenges and potential of literary teaching, and more broadly to the role that literary experience can play in formal, non-formal, and informal learning contexts.

The journal is organised into three sections:

  • Studies and Research, devoted to theoretical and empirical contributions addressing different educational contexts and levels;

  • Dialogues, featuring interviews and multi-voiced discussions on topics of particular relevance to the development of the field;

  • Reviews, dedicated to scholarly journals, book series, and authors of national and international significance.

All articles undergo peer review and are published in open access according to the diamond model (no fees for authors or readers).

Articles for peer review Articles, between 25,000 and 45,000 characters (including spaces), must be submitted in .docx format. Submissions must be anonymous (the author’s name must not appear either within the document or in the file name) and must strictly comply with the journal’s editorial guidelines.

Submissions must be uploaded through the OJS platform at the following link:
https://ojs.pensamultimedia.it/index.php/dilet/about/submissions

Authors will find instructions for registration and access to the platform at this link.

In the appropriate section, authors must also upload a short biographical note and an abstract of approximately 1,000 characters.

Only articles that meet all requirements and are submitted through the journal’s platform will be sent for review.

The deadline for submission is 15 May 2026.

After the deadline, the Editorial Board will send each article to two anonymous reviewers, who will complete the evaluation form online within the established timeframe. Only articles receiving positive evaluations from both reviewers will be accepted. Review reports will be communicated to the authors, together with any required revisions. Only articles revised or supplemented in accordance with the reviewers’ recommendations will be published.

Languages While the journal aims to contribute to the consolidation of literature education as a field of research within the Italian-speaking context, it also seeks to promote multilingualism and to foster international exchange of ideas and research findings.

For this reason, Italian is used as the working language for editorial and managerial activities. However, the journal is open to publishing articles in other languages, subject to prior agreement with the Editorial Board.

Based on the expertise of the Editorial and Scientific Committees, the editors will decide whether to accept such proposals and whether to publish the article exclusively in the original language or also in translation.
