About the Journal
Dilet is a biannual peer-reviewed scholarly journal established with the aim of contributing to the consolidation, within the Italian-speaking academic community, of Literature Education as an interdisciplinary, multilingual, and transnational field of research.
Situated at the intersection of literary studies and educational research and characterised by broad intellectual openness, Literature Education has progressively gained recognition in academia through sustained reflection on professional practices and critical debate on the role and disciplinary specificity of literary teaching and literary education across different national cultures.
In line with developments in other countries – where university courses in Literature Education are accompanied by specialised research centres, scholarly journals, and regular conferences – Dilet seeks to serve as a platform for dialogue and dissemination of Italian and international research. The journal promotes a public space for scholarly exchange among researchers from diverse disciplinary backgrounds who share a rigorous and reflective approach to the challenges and potential of literary teaching, and more broadly to the role that literary experience can play in formal, non-formal, and informal learning contexts.
The journal is organised into three sections:
-
Studies and Research, devoted to theoretical and empirical contributions addressing different educational contexts and levels;
-
Dialogues, featuring interviews and multi-voiced discussions on topics of particular relevance to the development of the field;
-
Reviews, dedicated to scholarly journals, book series, and authors of national and international significance.
All articles undergo peer review and are published in open access according to the diamond model (no fees for authors or readers).

Abstracts are evaluated by the Editorial Board, which may consult members of the Scientific Advisory Board or external experts. Only after acceptance of the abstract may authors submit the full article for anonymous review.
Languages
While contributing to the consolidation of the field within the Italian-speaking context, the journal promotes multilingualism and international scholarly exchange.
Italian is the working language of the editorial process; however, submissions in other languages are welcome, subject to prior agreement at the abstract stage. Abstracts must be submitted in two languages: the author’s language and Italian.
Based on the linguistic expertise of the Editorial and Scientific Boards, the editors will determine whether the article will be published in the original language only or also in translation.
