Issues revolving around youth and older adults have attracted the interest of scholars in a wide variety of fields: from pedagogy, psychology to sociology. The practices of ageing, empowerment and social relations can facilitate the immersion and sharing of learning experiences to generate inclusive and participatory communities. Therefore, the paper focuses on two focuses: 1) a critical analysis of the most recent theories available in the literature; 2) an analysis of the results of the first phase of a research project concerning the study of a model of intergenerational learning in a small community in Lazio.
