Abstract

Today, in our multi-ethnic society, racist attitudes and xenophobic manifestations are increasing exponentially: an education in interculture is urgently needed in order to promote a true and authentic inclusive dialogue, capable of demolishing the many forms of oppression and discrimination. Yet, in the new National Guidelines (M.I.M., 2025) intercultural education is mentioned only once, in the Cultural Premises, and is linked to multilingualism, the enhancement and enhancement of students' language skills, ensured by the assignment to schools of the first cycle of additional teachers for teaching Italian. It would have been desirable to have intercultural education in the various disciplines from Primary to Secondary School, and in the various Campi di esperienza of Kindergarten.
