The relationship between artificial intelligence (AI) and education raises crucial questions about the centrality of the human being in various stages of life (Lavanga & Mancaniello, 2022). Regarding the concept of care (Mortari, 2022), this paper explores the pharmacist-patient relationship. It will analyze the results of a focus group with Pharmacy students at UNISI who attended the course "The Complexity of the Pharmacist-Patient Relationship: For a Pedagogy of Care". Additionally, it will discuss the role of AI in the pharmacist-patient relationship, particularly in the context of care, especially when the other person expresses extreme vulnerability (Orefice, 2020; Marone, 2022). Looking towards future prospects, we can only imagine a world where AI becomes increasingly integrated into services for individuals, but where the human being remains the fundamental mediator in this relationship.
