CALL FOR PAPERS
Call for Educators and Pedagogues: Educational professionals "at the service" of the territory.
The widespread nature of education, a foundational dimension of any society throughout time, now necessitates the presence of educational professionals capable of translating this dimension into competent and expert practice. The plurality of formal, informal, and non-formal contexts, and the complexity they express in terms of subjects, spheres, and types of intervention, have led to theoretical and empirical reflections and concrete initiatives aimed at fulfilling the demand for education. Pedagogy has delineated and legitimized the profiles of Educator and Pedagogist, resulting in the approval of university training courses qualifying them for the profession, as well as their legal and professional recognition.
In this historical phase, new social policies are being implemented in areas of intervention concerning childhood, adolescence, families, disabilities, the elderly, and vulnerable populations. The organization of the Ambiti Territoriali Sociali (ATS)[1] is being defined to guarantee a nationwide structure of aggregation of municipalities, aiming for consociative management of social and socio-educational services. Multidisciplinary teams are recognized as indispensable resources, necessitating stable positions for educational professionals in public social services.
With this call we therefore intend to solicit the pedagogical community to share historical, theoretical and empirical reflections, methodological approaches and experiences on and of the figures of the Educator and Pedagogist in relation to the plurality of thematic areas involved: initial and continuous training, contexts (formal, informal and non-formal), subjects and areas of intervention, professional networks.
