For the scholarly edition of the ternary chapter Laura gientil dal somo ciel disesa of Michele della Vedova

Abstract

The paper illustrates some philological updates on Michele della Vedova’s poem Laura gientil dal somo ciel disesa in light of the latest discoveries. This poem shares most of the text with another ternary chapter, the LXII Diva gentil, che sei dal ciel discesa of the Nicolosa bella written by Gianotto Calogrosso. This contribution proposes how these two poems can be thought to be closely related to each other for the reconstruction of some loci critici, despite their corresponding to two different poetic projects.
