With canto I the Lectura Boiardi begins, a project which, through a relay between many people and different institutions, aims to offer an interpretation of Boiardo’s poem by many voices, like the traditional Lecturae of Dante and Petrarca, and more recently of other great chivalric poems. Canto I is dominated by Angelica’s arrival at Court, to which a few other events are added. Ample space, however, is dedicated to the presentation of the characters, through which Boiardo sets up his personal reading of the world of chivalry and his values.
