Abstract

Paul Maas’s annotations in his personal copy of Pfeiffer’s edition of Callimachus’ Hymns are here published for the first time; a large selection of Maas’s Callimachean marginalia in Schneider’s and Mair’s editions is also attached. By the occasion a choice of Maas’s jottings in his Handexemplar of Wilamowitz’s third edition of the Hymns provides a close view of Maas’s attitude toward Wilamowitz as a Callimachean scholar.
