Abstract

The article addresses the problematic question of the philological relationship between the de partibus orationis, contained in F only, and the ars grammar of Julian of Toledo, in the light of the latest studies which tend to support or disavow the strong plausibility that the pars missing of grammar, corresponding to Donato's ars maior II, can be found precisely in Fs de partibus orationis, erroneously separated from the rest of the work, due to the strong similarity and contiguity of content between Giuliano's collatio de generibus metrorum and the Servian Centimeter.
