The need for a comprehensive reform of academic training programs for social educators

Resumen

New challenges in the social, educational and care sectors raise questions about the adequacy of university education. This mixedmethods study explored the new skills and training needs of educators. The results highlighted a strong preference for practical and interpersonal skills over traditional theoretical knowledge, emphasizing the importance of promoting these skills in academic programs.
