Daughters of Pelias are remembered by Euripides’ Life as the poet’s first drama. The surviving fragments do not allow us to reconstruct with certainty which version of the myth of Pelias’ murder was chosen. By their analysis and the comparison with other literary and iconographic soucers it seems, however, that Euripides gave her a negative characterization in this drama, for the first time in its production and perhaps in the history of Greek theater.
