ICF-CY and the promotion of inclusive processes in educational contexts in the Republic of Kosovo

Abstract


The article describes the process of constructing a portfolio of documents starting from the biopsycho-social model of functioning in order to promote inclusive education in Kosovo. The research questions that guided the path were: a) which documents, in line with the ICF framework, could promote the path towards inclusion at school? b) How can these documents be introduced in the Municipalities of Kosovo? c) How to disseminate inclusion cultures, policies
and practices? Community Based Participatory Research is the methodology identified to favor collaborations among community members, and which has allowed the creation of: a) the School Reporting Form and the Monitoring Report; b) the Functioning Profile of the child; c) the “Educational Recommendation for Schools”.
