Tutoring: significati, modelli e funzioni del tutorato

Abstract


This contribution aims to clarify the nature and characteristics of the tutorship, to fully understand its value in terms of action and functions developed in different fields. The study aims to clarify the structural elements of the tutoring model. The paper analyses the definition, the meaning and models that, from antiquity up to present days, specifically characterize this approach or/and method. The two logics and the forms of the tutoring relationship are examined, comparing them with the practices of the guidance accompaniment. The focus is on the effects and the limits of the tutoring process that can help tutors’ action in fostering a helpful tuteecentred relationship.
